Job Purpose
To develop cybersecurity awareness content, plans, and support implementation of cybersecurity awareness strategies and programs.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design and implement cybersecurity awareness plans to educate UCC staff, communication service providers, government agencies, and the public on cybersecurity best practices, threats, and mitigation strategies.
- Organise training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance cybersecurity knowledge among internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop educational materials including brochures, posters, online resources, and training modules to effectively disseminate cybersecurity information.
- Support awareness campaigns that address emerging threats, promote hygiene, and encourage proactive cybersecurity practices.
- Provide training on cybersecurity procedures, including incident response protocols.
- Promote compliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with industry partners, government, academia, and other stakeholders to share resources and coordinate awareness efforts.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
- Professional certification in cybersecurity and membership in a recognised security body is an added advantage.
Working Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in designing and implementing cybersecurity awareness programs for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge or experience in graphic design, animation, video production, or related areas is an added advantage.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Technical
- Proficiency in cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity training tools and simulations.
- Understanding of instructional design methodologies.
- Familiarity with cyber threats and the evolving threat landscape.
- Knowledge of standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, risk management, and relevant cyber laws.
- Skills in graphic design, animation, and video editing are a plus.
