Pearl Marina, Garuga, Uganda is hiring a motivated and enthusiastic Network and ICT Support Intern to join our team. This role is designed for fresh graduates looking to kickstart their careers in the IT industry. You will be involved in supporting our ICT infrastructure, assisting with network management, and providing technical support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software-related issues.
- Support in monitoring and troubleshooting network performance and connectivity issues.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Assist in maintaining and updating documentation related to network and ICT configurations.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the security and integrity of the company’s network and data.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in network management and ICT support.
- Coordinate ICT infrastructure projects for residential and office setups in areas such as structured cabling for fiber and network equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, and VPN.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, or macOS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen interest in learning new technologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Certification in CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or related is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and AI in cloud environments.
