Job Summary
The National Content Officer will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and ensuring compliance with Uganda’s National Content requirements. You will lead efforts in training, recruitment, local supplier engagement, and continuous monitoring to ensure all obligations are met efficiently and transparently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compile monthly National Content performance reports.
- Coordinate National Content initiatives for local communities in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on National Content compliance and impact across departments.
- Hold biweekly review meetings with the Manager and team to track progress.
- Evaluate and review training plans, local recruitment strategies, and local procurement.
- Report and follow up on National Content issues and ensure policy implementation.
- Monitor and support local supplier development and performance.
- Stay updated with Ugandan National Content laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular enterprise audits to assess local supplier capabilities.
- Track and drive implementation of National Content commitments in all project phases.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in National Content coordination or project management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
