Crane Operator – Jobs In Uganda

Exquisite Solution Limited is hiring a skilled and experienced Crane Operator for our client in the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting ongoing site operations by operating cranes safely and efficiently, while ensuring strict compliance with company policies and site-specific safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials
  and equipment on-site.
• Conduct daily pre-operational inspections to ensure crane functionality
  and safety compliance.
•  Execute lifts in line with approved lift plans, rigging guidelines, and
  supervisor instructions.
• Interpret load charts, lifting plans, and technical drawings to determine
  accurate lift requirements.
• Collaborate closely with riggers, signalers, and ground crew to perform lifts
  safely and efficiently.
• Ensure full adherence to company safety protocols, site-specific operating
  procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, inspections, and
  maintenance activities.
• Support general maintenance tasks by safely positioning equipment and
  materials as required.
• Participate in toolbox talks, HSE drills, and ongoing safety training sessions.
• Evaluate lift plans for technical accuracy and risk mitigation.
• Promptly report any mechanical issues, incidents, or potential hazards.
• Keep the crane and surrounding work area clean, organized, and free of
  safety risks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or site manager

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical training or vocational certification in crane operation is an added advantage
• 3 years of hands-on experience operating cranes in construction, oil & gas, or industrial environments.
• Valid Crane Operator certification/license in accordance with Uganda national standards.
• Thorough understanding of crane operation protocols, rigging techniques, and site safety procedures.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting lift plans with a strong ability to assess potential risks.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a proactive approach to hazard identification and prevention.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
