Uganda Airlines Jobs: Uganda Airlines, the national carrier of Uganda, is committed to providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless travel experience. We are looking for dynamic and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Passenger Check-In Agents.Position Summary
As a Passenger Check-In Agent, you will be the frontline representative of Uganda Airlines at the airport. Your role is to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient passenger check-in, baggage handling, and boarding procedures while delivering outstanding customer service. Reporting To: Passenger Check-In Supervisor Department: Ground OperationsKey Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and secure working environment in line with airport and airline regulations.
- Check in passengers at ticket counters and boarding gates, issuing boarding passes efficiently.
- Tag and process passenger baggage to the correct destination.
- Coordinate with ramp and baggage handling teams to ensure all luggage is correctly loaded.
- Handle customer complaints related to baggage, ticketing, flight delays, and cancellations.
- Make public announcements regarding flight boarding, delays, and other important information.
- Answer customer inquiries related to flight schedules, fares, availability, and airline policies.
- Liaise with the flight crew and use ground-to-air radio for operational coordination.
- Coordinate with airport service providers such as fueling, catering, and maintenance teams.
- Dispatch accurate departure and arrival flight movement messages in real-time.
Minimum Qualifications
- A university degree or Higher Diploma in a relevant field.
- 1–2 years of experience in passenger services or airport operations with a reputable airline or ground handling company.
- Solid understanding of airport operations, airline procedures, and passenger services.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations and safety procedures.
