Tropical Bank Ltd is seeking a System Application Developer to design, build, and customize innovative software solutions that power our digital platform and support internal operations across the bank. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing user experience, strengthening digital transformation, and ensuring system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead application development initiatives aligned with the Bank’s IT and digital strategy.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust software applications (both front-end and back-end).

• Document development work in accordance with internal application development policies.

• Integrate third-party software and vendor systems into the bank's existing digital ecosystem.

• Respond to software security incidents promptly to maintain trust and operational integrity.

• Deliver in-house software solutions on schedule to meet department and business unit needs.

• Troubleshoot software issues related to performance, security, and user experience.

• Provide technical support to internal users and collaborate with other IT teams.

• Prepare and maintain user manuals and technical documentation.

• Develop customized reports based on user and business requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT operations, cybersecurity, project management) to deliver integrated solutions.

• Ensure application-level risk controls are built into systems during the design and development process.

• Maintain documentation for all key databases and their corresponding applications.

• Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and testing activities.

• Run routine system tests and continuously improve applications based on findings.

• Stay updated on evolving technologies to enhance system performance and functionality.

• Comply with AML/CFT/CPF policies and all regulatory frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years in ICT or banking environments.

• Experience with API/Web Services integrations—especially in digital banking, online banking, and agency banking.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or other banking-relevant languages.

• Familiarity with T24 core banking systems is an added advantage.

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and its role in system deployment.

• Experience in interface development, agile environments, and system enhancements.
