Job Summary

The IRC Uganda Country Program is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for procurement, logistics, inventory, and asset management. This full-time role involves frequent field travel and close collaboration with Field Supply Chain Leads to ensure efficiency, compliance, and value for money.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement Management: Lead procurement planning, sourcing, RFPs, supplier evaluation, and international procurement.
• Compliance and Risk: Ensure SOPs and policy adherence; monitor procurement documentation and audit readiness.
• Inventory Management: Supervise warehouse operations, ensure stock control, and lead timely inventory reporting.
• Asset Management: Track, maintain, and dispose of assets as per IRC policy and donor compliance.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate procurement records and generate timely reports using Integra and Power BI.
• Training & Capacity Building: Train and mentor staff on procurement policies and tools; facilitate onboarding of new hires.
• Team Supervision: Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and manage team leave planning and development.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Master’s degree or CIPS qualification is a strong asset.
• At least 5 years’ experience in supply chain with NGOs or similar organizations.
• Proficient in ERP systems (especially Integra), MS Office, and data reporting tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
