Job Title: Manager – Strategy & Partnerships

PostBank Uganda is looking for a dynamic, analytical, and results-driven Manager – Strategy & Partnerships to lead the design, communication, and implementation of the Bank’s corporate strategy. This high-impact role requires a strategic thinker who can drive the Bank’s growth through robust planning and effective engagement with strategic partners.
Reports to: Chief People & Strategy Officer
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate the formulation of PostBank’s medium- and long-term strategic plans, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.

Conduct comprehensive internal and external analyses (SWOT, PESTLE, competitor reviews, market trends) to inform strategic decisions.

Align strategies with Uganda’s national development agenda, customer expectations, and evolving industry trends (e.g., digital transformation, sustainability, financial inclusion).

Identify and engage with strategic partners and development agencies to strengthen the Bank’s value proposition.

Evaluate potential partnerships through synergy assessments, risk analysis, and business case development.

Oversee execution of partnership agreements and ensure compliance with agreed terms on both ends.

Facilitate high-level engagements with regulators, donors, and government agencies to foster collaboration.

Translate high-level goals into measurable strategic initiatives with KPIs, timelines, and resource plans.

Monitor progress of strategic projects and recommend corrective actions where needed.

Lead the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and sustainability goals into the corporate strategy.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.

A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA, MSc in Strategy/Finance, or certifications like CFA, CPA is an added advantage.
-
At least 5 years’ experience in corporate strategy, planning, or investment management—preferably in the banking or financial services sector.

Strong experience in leading cross-functional projects or business transformation initiatives.
-
Excellent understanding of current banking trends, digital finance, and sustainability practices.
-
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools is a plus.

Ability to work independently and influence senior leadership across departments.
