Position Overview

Centenary Publishing House seeks dependable and experienced Drivers to support the safe and timely transportation of staff, publications, and materials across various destinations. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth logistics and operational efficiency within our publishing operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Transporting staff, books, and supplies to branches, partner locations, and event venues.

• Ensuring vehicles are regularly cleaned, serviced, and well-maintained.

• Following all road safety regulations and internal company policies.

• Keeping accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and trip reports.

• Assisting with loading and unloading of materials where required.

• Responding to urgent transport requests efficiently and professionally.

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or equivalent.

• A valid driver’s license (Class B or higher).

• At least 2–3 years of professional driving experience.

• Strong knowledge of Kampala and surrounding areas.

• Clean driving record and good time management.

• Basic understanding of road maps or GPS navigation.

Added Advantage:

• Certificate in Defensive Driving or Motor Vehicle Mechanics.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English and at least one local language.
