Job Summary

The Senior Officer – Resource Mobilisation and Stakeholder Engagement will support the authority's strategic goal of diversifying funding sources and strengthening partnerships with government institutions and development partners. This includes identifying funding opportunities, preparing high-quality proposals, building relationships with stakeholders, and tracking the performance of resource mobilization efforts.


️ Key Duties and Responsibilities

As the Senior Officer, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities through regular engagements with key Government of Uganda officials and international development partners.

  • Prepare compelling project proposals and funding briefs tailored to the interests of various stakeholders and partners.

  • Develop tools to track and monitor performance of all resource mobilization initiatives.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential donors and funders through targeted stakeholder engagement activities.

  • Facilitate and document regular stakeholder engagements, including follow-ups and implementation of agreed actions.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of stakeholder engagement efforts and report on emerging trends or issues.

  • Document success stories, lessons learned, and key outcomes from engagements to inform future strategies.

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports on resource mobilization and partnership development.

  • Research and develop briefs on new and potential development partners, including profiling, funding priorities, and engagement strategies.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager, Resource Mobilisation and Stakeholder Engagement.


Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

Minimum Academic Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies, Humanities, or any other related field.

  • A Postgraduate qualification in a development-related field is required.

  • A Postgraduate qualification in Project Planning and Management is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • A minimum of four (4) years of work experience with a proven track record in resource mobilization, proposal writing, and partnership management.

  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, monitoring and evaluation, and engagement with government and donor agencies.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent proposal writing and analytical skills, with ability to create persuasive funding documents.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage high-level relationships.

  • Proven ability to work in cross-cultural and multidisciplinary teams.

  • High level of resilience, initiative, and professionalism.

  • Understanding of donor operations, international development processes, and public sector systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure.
