- Collect and preserve digital and physical evidence using professional forensic tools and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Analyze financial records and digital logs to detect patterns and anomalies using data analytics and fraud detection techniques.
- Conduct interviews with internal and external stakeholders to gather relevant information and assess inconsistencies.
- Compile thorough investigation reports with methodologies, findings, visualizations, and executive summaries.
- Collaborate with legal and law enforcement to prepare and present court-ready evidence and expert testimony.
- Conduct proactive risk assessments and support the enhancement of MTN Uganda’s control environment.
- Promote fraud awareness and internal fraud prevention training across departments.
- Contribute to administrative functions, performance tracking, and fraud incident reporting within the Forensics unit.
Candidate Profile
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Statistics, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification is mandatory: CFE, CISA, CISM, CHFI, CEH, or GCFA.
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in forensic auditing, investigations, or risk advisory services.
- At least 3 years of specialization in fraud investigation or digital forensics, preferably in a Fintech or Telecom environment.
- Proven experience using tools like EnCase, FTK, or X-Ways Forensics for fraud investigation and digital analysis.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in data analytics, fraud detection tools, and forensic auditing frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of GSM systems and Fintech operations, including mobile money fraud vectors.
- Ability to prepare technical and legal documentation for law enforcement and court proceedings.
- Knowledge of risk-based auditing methodologies and internal control assessments.
