Sales Representative Officer Role Overview

The Sales Representative Officer plays a pivotal role in building and sustaining customer relationships, driving new business, and promoting KCB Group’s diverse product suite. You will be the face of our brand in designated territories, interacting directly with personal banking clients to identify needs, offer tailored financial solutions, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience. Sales Representative Officer Key Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition & Retention: Proactively source new personal banking clients via referrals, networking events, community outreach, and targeted campaigns. Develop and nurture lasting relationships to minimize attrition and build trust.
  • Cross‑Selling & Product Promotion: Understand client needs to recommend and cross‑sell KCB products—including savings, loans, debit/credit cards, mobile banking, insurance, and investment solutions. Achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct regular market visits, competitor product analyses, and customer surveys to gather insights. Provide timely feedback to the sales and product teams to shape strategy and refine offerings.
  • KYC & AML Compliance: Perform thorough Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) and Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) due diligence for all new accounts. Ensure accurate documentation, risk profiling, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Customer Service & Issue Resolution: Act as first point of contact for client inquiries and complaints. Escalate complex issues to appropriate units, track resolution, and follow up to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Administration: Maintain up‑to‑date records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status in the CRM system. Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Learning: Attend internal training sessions, e‑learning modules, and external workshops to deepen product knowledge, refine sales techniques, and stay current with industry trends.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with branch managers, operations, marketing, and credit teams to streamline account opening, loan approvals, and service delivery. Share best practices and mentor junior colleagues where appropriate.

Knowledge, Experience & Personal Competencies

To excel in this Sales Representative Officer role, you should possess:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • Sales Experience: 6–12 months in sales or customer‑facing role (banking experience is an advantage).
  • Product & Process Knowledge: Familiarity with banking products, account opening procedures, credit assessment, and financial statement interpretation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to use CRM software, scoring tools, and standard office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Regulatory Awareness: Strong understanding of KYC, AML, and risk management principles.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Interpersonal Qualities: Organized, proactive, innovative, empathetic, persuasive, energetic, and culturally sensitive.
