Position Details

Role Overview

The Sales Representative will be responsible for converting cash customers to credit customers, increasing store coverage, maintaining strong dealer relationships, and ensuring effective execution of sales activities within assigned routes.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, discipline in execution, market awareness, and a customer-focused mindset.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Growth and Business Development

  • Drive sell-out by converting cash customers to credit customers.
  • Increase revenue through improved credit conversion within assigned stores.
  • Expand store coverage by onboarding at least 12 new stores per month to grow the Simu universe.
  • Check store capacity and stock levels to support effective Simu sell-out.

Route Management and Execution

  • Ensure effective and efficient route compliance.
  • Monitor dealer and POS activity in line with the assigned route plan.
  • Plan and prioritize activities while managing competing demands.

Dealer and Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with customers, dealers, and store owners based on trust and goodwill.
  • Negotiate for prime or front store space to maximize visibility of Watu Simu retail elements.
  • Ensure all company assets are maintained according to company policy.

Market Intelligence and Reporting

  • Provide continuous market feedback on competitor activities, promotions, pricing, incentives, and innovations.
  • Monitor competitor innovations, pricing, and in-store execution.
  • Verify accurate pricing, promotional pricing, and competitor pricing.
  • Report Voice of Customer (VOC) insights in a timely manner to enable quick corrective action.

Performance and Compliance

  • Identify training needs and escalate them for action, including refresher training for underperforming stores.
  • Ensure personal productivity and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Track performance using dashboards and escalate gaps through retail mapping or management meetings.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Assigned route plan units performance
  • Business development: minimum of 8 new stores per month
  • Dealer and POS activity compliance: minimum 85% AR
  • Assigned stores off-rate target: below 8%

Performance is monitored through dashboards including:

  • SIMU DS Performance
  • WS: Simu Sales Anomalies
  • WS: Simu Fraud Investigation

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.

Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with a credit or fintech company.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Well-developed computer skills, including use of Google Sheets and company systems.
  • Strong reporting skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving skills and proactive customer service approach.
  • Team player with a strong customer-centric mindset.
