Our client, represented by FLIP Africa, is a well-established family business founded in 2002 with operations in both Uganda and Rwanda. The company is currently managed by the second generation and has grown into Uganda’s leading distributor of pet food. With a growing footprint in the FMCG sector, they have expanded into manufacturing and distributing their own line of detergents and are actively innovating with new product lines.

Job Summary

FLIP Africa, on behalf of our client, is seeking a results-oriented and experienced Sales Manager – Mineral Cow Feed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and leading a dynamic sales team within the dairy farming and animal nutrition industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and expand market share in Uganda’s dairy sector.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including dairy farmers, feed suppliers, and cooperatives.
• Provide in-depth product knowledge, including the benefits and usage of cow feed components such as calcium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, vitamins, and trace elements.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the performance of the sales team to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly goals.
• Conduct regular market analysis to understand trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities.
• Identify and respond to market opportunities, especially in regions with high demand for mineral-enriched cow feed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Agriculture, Animal Nutrition, or a related field.
• Proven sales management experience in mineral cow feed or closely related agricultural products.
• Deep understanding of dairy farm operations and cow nutrition, including feed components like corn, alfalfa-rich grass silage, and beet pulp.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience working with an international company is a strong advantage.
• Existing relationships with large-scale cow farms or dairy cooperatives is highly desirable.
