Position: Sales Engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Roofings Group, the leading manufacturer of steel and building solutions in Uganda, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer. The role is designed for a results-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and proven sales experience in the construction or industrial sector. The Sales Engineer will play a critical role in strengthening client relationships, promoting Roofings Group products, and driving revenue growth across various market segments.


Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Engineer at Roofings Group, you will be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders including Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Civil/Structural Engineers, Contractors, Government Agencies, Foreign Investors, and Export Clients.

  • Establishing and managing a Certified Influencer Network comprising Dealers, Contractors, and Industry Professionals to promote and drive sales of Roofings Group products.

  • Preparing and delivering compelling technical presentations to communicate product value, features, and benefits to clients.

  • Collaborating closely with the sales team to provide tailored technical and sales support based on customer needs.

  • Identifying and generating high-quality leads, following up with prospects, negotiating pricing, securing orders, and coordinating deliveries.

  • Driving sales of new building solutions across existing and emerging channels to achieve monthly sales volume targets.

  • Advising customers on product improvements, upgraded materials, and machinery enhancements to meet project requirements.

  • Gathering and analyzing client feedback to improve sales strategies and enhance customer engagement.

  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports on project pipelines, inquiries, won and lost orders, and related performance analytics.

  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned by management.


Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Industrial Engineering.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in project sales of industrial products or building solutions (Structural Steel, Roofing, and related components).

  • Proven track record in sales and marketing, preferably within the construction or industrial sector.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to translate technical details into business value for non-technical clients.

  • High technical aptitude, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proactive, self-driven, and target-oriented personality.
