As we continue to grow, we are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team and support the organization’s governance, risk mitigation, and compliance frameworks.

Job Summary

The Risk and Compliance Officer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing robust risk management and compliance strategies to ensure Five Star Insurance Brokers Ltd operates within all legal and regulatory frameworks. The role will also involve policy enforcement, internal control reviews, compliance training, and fraud prevention. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize risk and compliance assessment tools.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements from authorities such as IRA.
• Implement effective internal controls to prevent fraud and policy misapplication.
• Follow up on compliance deficiencies and audit recommendations.
• Monitor and report unresolved non-compliance issues to management.
• Plan and coordinate periodic risk and compliance reviews.
• Develop and deliver compliance and ethics training for staff and management.
• Conduct project reviews and present findings to the Managing Director.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science.
• Risk Management Certificate is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance in Uganda.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven with high ethical standards and attention to detail.
