Role Overview

The Regulatory Science Officer will support the Regulatory Affairs Manager by ensuring effective oversight of study protocols, procedures, and adherence to approved quality systems and regulatory practices. The role involves engagement with regulatory authorities and participation in audits, inspections, and stakeholder engagements to support compliant and ethical research conduct.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Regulatory Submissions and Compliance

  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of project dossier applications, progress reports, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Follow up regulatory submissions through early inquiry and continuous engagement with regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure study protocols, procedures, and documentation comply with approved quality systems and regulatory standards.

Regulatory Engagement and Representation

  • Represent project interests in domestic, regional, and international regulatory, biosafety, and environmental forums.
  • Provide guidance on interpretation and application of national, regional, and international policies and regulations.
  • Support investigations related to regulatory concerns, including product complaints.

Review, Training, and Capacity Building

  • Facilitate review of project SOPs and local working practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review project materials including SOPs, user manuals, and progress reports for regulatory accuracy and compliance.
