AMI is hiring a driven and skilled Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of Pan-African learning programmes. Based in Kampala, Uganda, and reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you’ll ensure seamless project delivery—including logistics, stakeholder engagement, event coordination, and reporting.Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Execution
- Support the Senior Programme Manager in creating and managing project plans and timelines.
- Deliver key project tasks, monitor budgets, and track deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to align milestones.
- Serve as the key contact for coaches and masterclass speakers.
2. Event Coordination
- Organize and support in-person and virtual events in Ethiopia and other locations.
- Coordinate MSME coaching sessions, manage contracts, schedules, feedback, and billing.
- Oversee logistics, vendors, venues, and provide on-ground support during events.
3. Stakeholder & Partner Liaison
- Engage with speakers, coaches, and facilitators.
- Act as the liaison with UNDP Ethiopia, local partners, and ecosystem stakeholders.
- Ensure timely, professional communication with all stakeholders.
4. Reporting & Documentation
- Draft reports, summaries, and maintain clear project documentation.
- Track activities, feedback, and project outcomes.
5. Administrative Support
- Assist the Uganda country lead in local coordination and SME recruitment.
- Support impact storytelling and content gathering.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Development Studies, Project Management, or related field (required).
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience managing complex projects, ideally in entrepreneurship or SME development.
- At least 3 years of full-time work experience in Uganda with local ecosystem knowledge.
- Experience working with donor-funded programs or multilateral organizations (e.g., UNDP, GIZ).
