Position Overview

The Procurement and Inventory Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process and ensuring efficient stock control systems are in place to support operational excellence. You will play a key role in minimizing operational costs, ensuring supplier compliance, and optimizing inventory across all departments.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and manage all procurement activities in line with company policies and budgets.

  • Develop sourcing strategies to ensure high-quality and cost-effective purchasing of materials and services.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

  • Review and negotiate contracts, prices, and terms of service with suppliers.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and forecast supply needs.

  • Coordinate with operational and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and replenishment.

  • Implement inventory optimization techniques to minimize waste and prevent stockouts or overstocking.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure procurement and inventory processes meet internal and regulatory standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement systems and warehouse efficiency.

  • Prepare periodic procurement and inventory reports for senior management decision-making.


Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a highly organized and results-driven individual with the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management, preferably in the logistics, services, or manufacturing sectors.

  • Strong skills in negotiation, supplier evaluation, and contract management.

  • Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, procurement software, and inventory tracking tools.

  • Professional certification or membership in a recognized body such as CIPS, IPPU, or equivalent is an added advantage.
