Job Summary

The Process Engineering Manager will contribute specialist Business Process Engineering expertise to the development, maintenance, and implementation of the Process Science Framework. The role supports the achievement of competitive advantage by improving process maturity, operational efficiency, and execution consistency across the organisation. The successful candidate will enable professionalised operations across the Standard Bank Group by measuring, analysing, and improving business processes with a strong client-centric focus.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis to ensure products and services are delivered through effective and efficient business processes.
• Provide specialist Process Engineering input into the development and maintenance of the Process Science Framework.
• Ensure alignment of strategy, policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, training, metrics, and governance with international best practices.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver comprehensive reporting to enable transparency and effective decision-making.
• Develop and gain consensus on a process roadmap covering short-, medium-, and long-term execution imperatives.
• Drive year-on-year step-change improvements in process performance.
• Design and deliver practical solutions using structured process improvement disciplines.
• Execute, monitor, track, and report on end-to-end process performance to demonstrate value to the organisation.
• Identify and quantify process improvement opportunities through intelligent analysis of processes, organisational design, and strategy.
• Lead enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives to deliver agreed financial and operational benefits.
• Promote a strong process-thinking culture across the organisation.
• Build and develop process teams by strengthening skills, knowledge, and professional attitudes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: First Degree
• Field of Study: Information Studies

Experience Requirements

Operations Solutions Management

• Three to four years of experience in operations or solutions management.
• Strong understanding of banking processes, products, data, and systems.

Business Process Management

• Five to seven years of experience in business process management.
• Experience in process modelling, innovation, analysis, design, engineering, improvement, and documentation.
• Experience with quality assurance, analysis tools, systems, and workflow solutions.

Technical Competencies
