Role Overview: What You'll Be Doing
As the Partnerships Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Operations and work within the Strategy and Operations Team. Your focus will be leading transformative partnerships that directly contribute to customer acquisition, business scalability, and long-term commercial success.
You will:
✅ Design and implement strategic partnership initiatives that align with M-KOPA’s business and social impact goals.
✅ Lead cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Commercial Strategy) to deliver seamless execution of partnerships.
✅ Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities across industries and markets.
✅ Own end-to-end project management of partnerships—from planning to execution to post-project evaluation.
✅ Monitor and analyze partnership KPIs and business impact metrics, delivering actionable insights to leadership.
✅ Implement robust processes to manage risks, timelines, and performance of each initiative.
✅ Drive continuous improvement in partnership workflows using performance data and stakeholder feedback.
✅ Serve as M-KOPA’s ambassador when engaging with key external partners, funders, and collaborators.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills You Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone whose career tells a story of delivering impact through strategic collaborations. This role demands both visionary thinking and the ability to execute complex projects down to the finest detail.
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Strategy, or related field.
✅ A Project Management certification such as PMP is a strong advantage.
✅ Minimum of 5 years' experience in partnership management, business development, or strategic operations.
✅ Proven success in leading high-impact projects or collaborations that drove measurable growth.
✅ Strong understanding of sales processes and how partnerships influence customer acquisition strategies.
✅ Excellent data analysis skills; ability to draw insights from commercial and operational metrics.
✅ Proficiency with project management tools and CRMs (e.g., Asana, Salesforce, Trello, Monday.com).
✅ Experience in the PAYGO, fintech, telecom, or digital financial services sectors is highly desirable.
✅ Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills—you’ll be dealing with C-level and cross-market teams.
