The Operator – Manlifts will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of manlift equipment used for lifting and hoisting loads across our operational sites. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, routine equipment inspections, and excellent communication with site supervisors and team members. The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive experience with heavy equipment operation, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward workplace safety.Operator – Driver Manlifts Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate equipment safely by running, maneuvering, navigating, and driving manlift machinery to ensure personnel and asset safety on site.
- Perform thorough daily inspections of equipment structures and components before, during, and after operations to identify wear, damage, or defects.
- Identify and report any errors, defects, or malfunctions to the site supervisor promptly, both verbally and in writing.
- Complete required documentation including fuel logs, mileage records, gate passes, and daily checklists as directed by the site supervisor.
- Notify site management immediately of maintenance or repair needs, documenting issues in the equipment checking book and daily checklist.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and proper storage of all accessories to prolong equipment life and enable quick accessibility.
- Uphold strict health and safety standards to protect self and colleagues and contribute to a culture of safety on-site.
- Ensure proper handover of equipment during shift changes and report any discrepancies upon takeover.
- Assist with additional tasks assigned by the site supervisor when equipment is not operational.
Operator – Driver Manlifts Job Specifications
Academic and Certification Requirements
- Valid driver/operator’s license relevant to the manlift equipment.
- Suitability test clearance for operating specific equipment.
- Training in defensive driving and safe equipment operation.
- Minimum education level: Ordinary Level (O-Level) / S.4 certificate.
Operator – Driver Manlifts Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience operating manlift or similar heavy lifting machinery.
- Proven track record of safety and reliability in equipment handling.
Other Requirements
- Minimum age: 25 years or older.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and team members.
- Physically fit to handle demanding operational tasks.
