Job Summary

Stanbic Bank Uganda is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to fill the position of Officer – Business Enablement. The Officer – Business Enablement will support leadership in strategy execution, operational effectiveness, and performance monitoring. The role focuses on proactively identifying business challenges, driving process improvement initiatives, and supporting programmes designed to strengthen organizational capability across Operations and the wider bank.

The successful candidate will work closely with business partners across Operations and other functions to develop management information, dashboards, and reports that provide actionable insights. By promoting a strong process-driven culture, the role contributes to improved customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support leadership in strategy management by proactively monitoring business performance, identifying issues, and enabling timely resolution of operational challenges.
  • Drive and support business process improvement initiatives and programmes aimed at strengthening organizational capability and execution effectiveness.
  • Engage with internal business partners across Operations and the wider bank to gather requirements and deliver insightful management information and custom reports.
  • Develop, analyze, and present operational data that provides visibility into the effectiveness of key Operations deliverables.
  • Contribute to strengthening the process culture within Operations and across the bank to enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Research and analyze operational issues impacting business activities and collaborate with relevant teams to develop practical, data-driven recommendations.
  • Support the Operations Brilliant Basics agenda by contributing to a high-performing, collaborative, and healthy work environment.
  • Create weekly and monthly dashboards and performance reports to track key performance indicators related to business operations.
  • Provide continuous analytical and reporting support to the Operations department and its stakeholders.
  • Review existing operational processes to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and control adequacy, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to the bank’s compliance, risk, and conduct requirements in all assigned activities.
  • Monitor and report on the implementation of process-related change management initiatives to support effective change adoption.
  • Support governance, risk, and control frameworks by promoting best practices in operational risk management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A first degree in Business Administration, Business Computing, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in data and analytics is an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis with a strong orientation toward business operations reporting.
  • Strong research, communication, and business writing skills.
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge or practical experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI is an added advantage.
  • Substantial experience working in an Operations environment, applying business analysis techniques to optimize decision-making and improve performance outcomes.
