Position: National Content Officer
Role Purpose:
The National Content Officer will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and compliance of Mota-Engil Uganda’s operations with National Content requirements. This includes overseeing local content reporting, monitoring supplier compliance, supporting local enterprise development, and ensuring strategic alignment with regulatory frameworks.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead the compilation and submission of Monthly National Content Reports.

Coordinate local community engagement initiatives in collaboration with relevant departmental heads.

Monitor and evaluate performance indicators related to National Content compliance.

Organize bi-weekly meetings with the Manager and team to discuss the status of ongoing initiatives.

Review and evaluate training programs, recruitment plans, and local procurement strategies.

Identify and report any non-compliance issues related to National Content at the project site.

Track and report supplier compliance with national content policies and commitments.

Monitor and update the team on changes in National Content regulations and policies.

Ensure that regular enterprise audits are carried out to assess the capacity of local businesses and propose actionable improvement plans.

Ensure timely realization of the company’s national content commitments in accordance with project and policy goals.

Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor in line with job responsibilities and company objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
-
A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline.

At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational or infrastructure development organization.

Strong understanding of Uganda’s National Content regulations and local procurement policies.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with advanced data analysis and reporting skills.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a dynamic team-oriented environment.
