About the Role
Centenary Publishing House is looking for enthusiastic and results-driven Marketing/Sales Assistants to support the promotion and distribution of our diverse range of publications, including books, educational materials, and related products. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing publishing house and build your career in sales and marketing.
Key Responsibilities
As a Marketing/Sales Assistant, you will:

Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns for Centenary Publishing House products.

Support the sales team in identifying leads and engaging with potential clients such as schools, libraries, and retail partners.

Prepare, distribute, and maintain marketing materials (brochures, flyers, digital content, etc.).

Keep accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and campaign metrics.

Represent the company at book fairs, promotional events, and community outreach activities.

Provide administrative support—schedule meetings, manage correspondence, and assist in reporting.

Collaborate with editorial and design teams to align promotional materials with product messaging.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
-
Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage).

1–2 years of relevant experience in marketing, sales, or customer service, ideally in publishing or retail.

Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and basic digital marketing tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Fluency in English and at least one local language (e.g., Luganda).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
Desirable Skills:

Experience in the publishing or education sector.

Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
