Job Summary The Manager – Finance & Operations is responsible for ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of MTN Uganda’s Fixed Connectivity portfolio under the Wholesale Division. The successful candidate will lead strategic financial planning, manage credit risk, optimize billing and collections, and drive pricing strategies for growth. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, making it a perfect fit for driven professionals in finance and operations roles in Uganda. ️ Key Responsibilities 1. Commercial Operations Develop and execute business strategies to grow revenue and market share. Lead end-to-end sales forecasting, performance management, and service delivery alignment. Negotiate contracts with partners and clients to maximize financial value. Manage supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery of services. Establish and monitor KPIs for the sales and operations teams. Drive cross-functional collaboration to meet project milestones. Ensure compliance with telecom industry regulations and MTN standards. Implement continuous process improvement strategies using data and technology. 2. Product & Pricing Strategy Define and execute pricing strategies for fixed connectivity products and services. Monitor competitor pricing and recommend responses to maintain competitive advantage. Work with sales and product teams to assess product performance and profitability. Manage discount approvals and ensure proper documentation of pricing decisions. Maintain a centralized tariff repository and ensure pricing accuracy across departments. Build business cases for new products or pricing models to support innovation and growth. 3. Business Analytics & Reporting Set and monitor sales targets aligned with corporate objectives. Analyze customer trends, usage patterns, and churn to drive business insights. Provide data analytics for evaluating channel profitability and customer retention. Track performance of key accounts and prepare detailed reports for leadership. Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner on monthly and quarterly financial reporting. Offer strategic recommendations using performance dashboards and trend analysis. 4. Credit Control & Billing Oversee post-paid billing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Follow up on overdue payments and minimize bad debt exposure. Keep accurate records of all credit and billing transactions. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly collections reports. Resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes quickly and professionally. Maintain strong customer relationships to support payment recovery and satisfaction. Qualifications & Experience Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Specialization in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, operations, or business analysis. At least 3 years of senior-level experience in a similar capacity, ideally within telecommunications, banking, or ICT industries. ✅ Key Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of credit management and revenue assurance Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into strategic decisions Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting Advanced skills in Excel, ERP systems, and business intelligence tools Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results under pressure Why Join MTN Uganda?
