Job Summary:
Unifi is looking for a Loan Consultant to join its dynamic and customer-focused team in Arua, Uganda. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding clients through the loan application process, offering exceptional customer service, and supporting the branch in achieving its financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Loan Consultant, your duties will center around client interaction, loan processing, and branch support. You will be the first point of contact for customers and will play a key role in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for every client.
Client Engagement:

Welcome and assist clients with professionalism and friendliness, ensuring a high standard of customer service.

Offer accurate and helpful information about Unifi’s loan products, promotions, and value-added services.

Handle all client inquiries, ensuring they are resolved effectively and efficiently.

Maintain strong, positive relationships with clients to encourage customer retention and satisfaction.
Loan Processing:
-
Enter client data into the registration system, either manually or electronically, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Verify documentation submitted by clients, and advise applicants on any missing or additional required documents.

Ensure all loans are properly documented, compliant, and fully processed within Unifi's credit policy framework.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of loan processing procedures and company guidelines.
Compliance & Confidentiality:
-
Maintain strict client confidentiality and ensure all sensitive information is handled securely.

Follow all policies and guidelines to ensure full compliance with Unifi’s credit policy, regulatory standards, and operational procedures.

Ensure accurate cash handling, reporting, and reconciliation during loan disbursement or repayments.
Operational & Team Support:

Assist the branch in meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational targets.

Proactively participate in marketing activities, brand awareness campaigns, and client acquisition efforts.

Offer insights and feedback to improve loan services and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
-
A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of local languages in Arua and the surrounding region is an added advantage.
Experience:
-
1–2 years of experience in customer service, finance, banking, or microfinance is preferred.

Previous experience in a loan officer, teller, or credit consultant role will be an added advantage.

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Proven ability to handle client data with discretion and confidentiality.
