Job Purpose

The Enterprise Banker will provide sales and service to Business Banking customers, originate credit applications, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal bank requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

• Open Enterprise banking accounts in line with recruitment policies.
• Participate in product campaigns and explain solutions to customers.
• Meet and exceed assigned sales targets.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and promote new products.
• Conduct structured client meetings with defined objectives.
• Maintain personal sales performance statistics.

2. Credit Origination & Portfolio Growth

• Initiate client credit applications in line with SME lending guidelines.
• Conduct financial analysis and review client statements.
• Communicate lending decisions and explore alternative solutions.
• Encourage loan drawdowns upon approval.

3. Customer Service Excellence

• Resolve customer queries related to accounts, loans, and cards.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Branch Manager.
• Build strong relationships with operations and KYC helpdesk teams.
• Guide customers to appropriate service channels.

4. Branch Support

• Support branch operations when required.
• Authorize cashier transactions within delegated authority.
• Assist in cash management and custodianship.
• Restock marketing materials and support branch merchandising.

5. Operational Rigour & Compliance

• Ensure accuracy of account opening and loan documentation.
• Maintain compliance with KYC and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.
• Adhere to Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework standards.
• Support audit compliance and internal controls.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Banking, or related field.
• Postgraduate or professional certifications are an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar banking role.
• Strong understanding of Business Banking and Retail Banking services.
• Knowledge of KYC, Anti-Money Laundering, and banking regulations.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Good analytical and numeracy skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong planning and organizational ability.
