Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately handle cash transactions, including receiving payments, issuing receipts, and properly accounting for all transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate financial transaction records by entering data into the point of sale (POS) system.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations, ensuring balances are accurate and resolving discrepancies in a timely way.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, including hotel and hospitality industry standards.
- Assist with managing and recording inventory levels, especially items sold at the cash register.
- Work closely with other departments to support smooth operations, particularly during peak periods.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Education
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Degree is an added advantage.
Experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the hotel or hospitality sector is preferred.
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail when handling cash and records.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a professional approach to guest interactions.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.
