About the Role:

Mastercard Foundation is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Head – Content Management on a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Director, Knowledge Management, this role will lead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of our Enterprise Content Management (ECM) ecosystem, with a strong focus on SharePoint Modern. This opportunity offers a chance to be part of a mission-driven foundation that drives social impact and transformative change. Key Responsibilities – Ways You Can Contribute:

  • Lead strategic planning and hands-on administration of SharePoint Online and related Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • Design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable, and user-friendly enterprise content management (ECM) systems.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent taxonomy, metadata structure, and search capabilities using the SharePoint term store.
  • Ensure strong governance, compliance, and privacy practices through collaboration with IT and Cybersecurity teams.
  • Manage content migration projects, site modernization, and deployment of new SharePoint features.
  • Promote ECM adoption through training, user support, and change management strategies.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, guiding the design and architecture of content systems.
  • Leverage analytics and feedback to continually improve user experience and system performance.
  • Manage vendor and third-party relationships to enhance platform functionality and performance.
  • Oversee the Foundation’s Records Management Program, including Microsoft Purview retention policies and archiving.

Who You Are:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Knowledge Management, Information Science, Library Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise content management, with significant experience as a SharePoint administrator.
  • Possess certifications in SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Project Management, or Information Architecture (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deploy SharePoint Online site structures, permission models, metadata, and modern pages.
  • Advanced knowledge of ECM principles, taxonomy development, and federated search optimization.
  • Experience with governance, compliance, and cybersecurity as they relate to Microsoft 365 and ECM tools.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to align digital solutions with business goals.
