About the Role

Hima Cement Ltd is seeking a dedicated Instrumentation Foreman to lead instrumentation maintenance activities and ensure all plant instrumentation operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. This role includes maintenance planning, team supervision, and strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.


Key Responsibilities

Instrumentation Maintenance Operations

  • Troubleshoot and repair complex instrumentation systems across the plant.

  • Log anomalies identified during routine checks and maintenance.

  • Analyze equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.

  • Participate in post-maintenance testing and validation.

  • Respond swiftly to emergencies and urgent breakdowns.

  • Implement preventive and corrective maintenance work orders weekly.

  • Develop job plans and execute maintenance tasks efficiently.

  • Initiate cost-saving measures and equipment life-extending strategies.

  • Work closely with shift leads to maintain equipment such as crushers, kilns, mills, and cement packers.

Planning and Cost Control

  • Assist in budgeting and planning for maintenance expenditures.

  • Monitor costs and identify areas for improvement while maintaining performance standards.

Compliance and Standards

  • Adhere to plant regulations, internal policies, and local regulatory requirements.

  • Follow the Maintenance Management System (MMS) and meet MAC scheduling targets.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Promote and enforce a zero-harm workplace.

  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety and environmental standards.


Qualifications and Skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance within a heavy industry setting.

  • Familiarity with cement production processes is an added advantage.

Technical Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of FMEA and root cause analysis tools.

  • Proficient in instrumentation equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.

  • Skilled in PLC theory, wiring, programming, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with fiber optic systems and UPS maintenance.

  • Knowledge of MMS, ACS, PMA, RCFA, and cost tracking systems.
