The Financial Intelligence Authority (FIA) is seeking to hire an Information Technology Officer (Cyber Security) to strengthen its ICT security framework, maintain resilient e-services, and ensure secure infrastructure for its operations. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates with a strong interest in cybersecurity and IT governance to launch their careers in Uganda’s public sector.Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of FIA e-services and security architecture.
- Support the implementation of cybersecurity measures to protect FIA information systems.
- Assist in maintaining secure access to FIA network resources.
- Participate in the monitoring and maintenance of the disaster recovery site and business continuity services.
- Monitor and assess threats, vulnerabilities, and network incidents.
- Support the implementation of business continuity protocols and IT recovery plans.
- Participate in developing and applying FIA's information security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Contribute to the departmental workplan aligned with the Authority’s strategic goals.
- Provide technical input on IT-related Terms of Reference (TORs) for procurement of IT equipment and services.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Education:- Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering.
- No prior work experience required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
