Human Resource Officers(HR Officers - 4 Vacancies) - Double Q Company Limited
Job Type: Full-Time Location: Kampala, Uganda Application Deadline: 19th June 2025 Double Q Company Limited—established in Kampala in 2013—is the authorized distributor of SINOTRUK heavy-duty trucks and XCMG construction machinery in Uganda. With over 300 employees, including a truck assembly plant in Mpigi, the company also provides related services such as vehicle financing, insurance, GPS tracking, and rentals is currently looking to recruit four (4) passionate and highly experienced Human Resource Officers to join our growing team. The selected candidates will play key roles in different specialized HR functions. Minimum Education Level Required
Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field from a recognized university. Additional certifications in labor law, employee engagement, learning & development, or performance systems are an added advantage. Experience Requirements Each applicant must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a busy HR department or consultancy setting. Demonstrated expertise in the specified HR area of interest is essential for selection. Role-Specific ResponsibilitiesHR Officer – Compliance and Employee Relations
- Monitor and enforce compliance with Ugandan labor laws, HR policies, and statutory regulations.
- Handle disciplinary procedures, grievance resolution, and conflict mediation.
- Conduct audits to ensure policy adherence and fair treatment of staff.
- Advise management on employee rights, contract terms, and risk mitigation.
HR Officer – Performance Management
- Design and implement performance evaluation systems aligned with organizational goals.
- Train supervisors and staff on objective appraisal processes and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Facilitate performance reviews and recommend improvement strategies.
- Link individual performance outcomes to reward systems and development needs.
HR Officers – Learning and Development
- Conduct training needs assessments and develop learning roadmaps.
- Design, schedule, and evaluate staff training programs, workshops, and mentorships.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and talent growth within client organizations.
- Track training ROI and maintain up-to-date learning materials.
General Competencies for All Positions - Human Resource Officers
- In-depth knowledge of the Uganda Employment Act and related labor legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, discretion, and problem-solving ability.
- Good command of Microsoft Office and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
