About the Role

Bank of Africa is hiring a Head of ICT to plan, coordinate, and manage the Bank’s ICT infrastructure to ensure availability, efficiency, and security of all technology systems. The role is crucial to driving innovation and enabling operational excellence across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on ICT policies, oversee implementation, and enforce security protocols
• Develop the ICT department's annual work plan and align with the Bank’s strategic goals
• Ensure efficient daily operations of all information and communication systems
• Manage ICT budgets and ensure expenditures remain within approved limits
• Lead procurement and evaluation of external ICT service providers
• Supervise the implementation of DRP/BCP solutions and system availability
• Motivate and train IT staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Ensure quality delivery of ICT-related projects and provide user training where needed
• Uphold system/network security standards and support audit activities

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, CISA are an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years of ICT experience, with 2 years in a management role
• At least 3 years of experience working in a banking environment
• Strong knowledge of systems development, network administration, and ICT operations
• Excellent planning, project management, and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership, team collaboration, and people management abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills
