Graduate Trainee – Employee Relations and Registry
Department: Human Resource & Administration
Reports to: Senior Employee Relations/Registry Officer
UEDCL is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee – Employee Relations and Registry to support its Human Resource operations. The role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in employee relations management and registry functions, including grievance tracking, document control, and compliance with labor and organizational standards.
Role Impact
This position plays a key role in maintaining confidential, compliant, and organized HR records, while also supporting efforts to promote positive employee relations. The trainee will develop foundational skills in HR policy implementation, labor law compliance, and administrative processes, contributing to the smooth running of HR services.
Key Responsibilities (Key Result Areas)

Assist in tracking employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and resolutions.

Document meeting notes, maintain confidential case files, and assist with grievance follow-up.

Help gather feedback from staff on workplace relations matters.

Assist in organizing and updating both physical and electronic employee records.

Support the retrieval, classification, and filing of HR documents.

Ensure accurate documentation of recruitment, onboarding, exits, and changes in employment status.

Help compile compliance data and reports related to employee relations and HR registry.

Learn and apply relevant labor laws, policies, and HR recordkeeping standards.

Support dissemination of HR policy updates, memos, and relevant internal communications.

Provide first-level guidance to employees or refer them to the appropriate HR officer.

Assist in updating HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) under supervision.

Participate in data audits and quality checks of HR documentation.

Person Specifications
Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.

Must have graduated within the last three (3) years from a recognized university.
Experience:

No formal work experience required.

Basic understanding of labor laws, HR practices, and employee relations.
