- MEAL Consultancy Services: Support NGOs in designing monitoring frameworks, indicators, and evaluation plans.
- Impact Evaluation Advisory: Conduct independent project evaluations and learning reviews.
- Research & Evidence Development: Provide research services to inform programme strategy and donor reporting.
- Capacity Building & Training: Facilitate workshops on accountability systems, community feedback mechanisms, and results-based management.
- Information Management Systems Support: Help organizations roll out digital monitoring and reporting systems.

Job Purpose
The Global MEAL Coordinator will serve as the principal MEAL advisor for countries in the region, ensuring translation of global standards into country-level implementation. The role contributes to quality assurance, system strengthening, knowledge exchange, and continuous learning across DRC programmes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the principal MEAL advisor for countries in the East Africa and Great Lakes region.
- Translate global MEAL standards, practices, and policies into country contexts.
- Support appropriate MEAL resourcing and participate in senior MEAL recruitments.
- Support rollout of global Information Management systems.
- Provide technical guidance on monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning.
- Foster cross-country knowledge exchange and learning.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning.
- Experience working with International NGOs, UN agencies, line ministries, or local authorities in displacement or emergency settings.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience supporting partners or working within partnership models.
- Proven facilitation and training skills.
- Strong understanding of research methodologies and evidence-based programming.
- Experience with participatory assessment and community-based monitoring.
- Clear understanding of Core Humanitarian Standards.
- Experience in staff capacity building and workshop facilitation.
