Position Summary

The Financial Analyst will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for analyzing financial data, supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts, developing dashboards, and preparing performance reports. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping senior management make data-driven decisions, improving efficiency, and driving profitability across the Bank's operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports including:

  • Variance analysis

  • Branch performance metrics

  • Product profitability

  • Dashboards and custom financial reports

• Forecast trends based on business performance, economic indicators, and market conditions.

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle and coordinate input from cross-functional teams.

• Create and maintain financial models for scenario planning and decision support.

• Analyze general ledgers and develop strategies for performance improvement.

• Guide cost control measures by monitoring expenses and producing quarterly cost analysis reports.

• Standardize financial processes by establishing clear policies and reporting protocols.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure data consistency and accuracy in reporting.

• Identify and communicate key insights to management, enabling timely business decisions.

✅ Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or investment analysis — banking industry experience preferred.

• CPA (Level 3) or ACCA is a strong added advantage.

• Demonstrated knowledge in financial modeling, budgeting, and variance reporting.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, operational reporting, and cost management.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail and accuracy.

• High-level communication and interpersonal skills to work across departments.

• Self-driven, organized, and capable of handling tight deadlines.

• Ability to transform complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
