Location: Kampala, Uganda
Employment Type: Full-Time | Internship

Are you a recent graduate passionate about finance, accounting, and community health development? Do you want to kick-start your career in a mission-driven organization that links remote communities to healthcare? Health Access Connect (HAC) is seeking a Finance Intern to support its finance team in Kampala. If you are looking for finance internships in Uganda, this is an ideal opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the NGO sector.

About Health Access Connect

Health Access Connect (HAC) is a non-profit organization with a bold and transformative mission: to link remote communities to healthcare. Headquartered in Uganda, HAC tackles the problem of limited healthcare access in rural communities by implementing innovative, sustainable, and community-centered solutions.

HAC operates through the following three flagship programs:

1. Medicycles

Through this program, HAC utilizes microfinance-powered boda bodas (motorcycles) to transport Ugandan government health workers to rural areas. These mobile clinics deliver essential health services such as:

  • HIV testing and treatment

  • Immunizations

  • Family planning

  • Perinatal care

  • General outpatient services

2. Treat & Teach

This program improves access to family planning by:

  • Providing health workers with certification training

  • Organizing outreach clinics in hard-to-reach communities

  • Mobilizing local demand through community health workers (VHTs)

  • Reducing stock-outs through buffer stock systems and improved supply chain tracking

If you are passionate about using your finance skills to support meaningful programs like these, HAC is the perfect place for you to grow your career.
