• Outsourced Accounting Services: Offer bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, and financial reporting services to SMEs.
• Tax Compliance Advisory: Support businesses with VAT, WHT, and EFRIS compliance, filing, and documentation.
• Budgeting and Financial Planning Consulting: Help startups and growing businesses develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.

Job Purpose

The Finance Accounts Associate will support financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, working capital management, and operational finance processes within EY’s Core Business Services. The role contributes to engagement profitability, risk management, and business growth through accurate financial insight and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial and Management Reporting

• Prepare and share weekly financial performance reports with management.
• Review general ledger balances and support monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly analytical Profit and Loss reports focusing on expense review and cost control.
• Generate utilization reports including taxi, Uber, and telephone usage analysis.
• Support annual financial close processes and external audit coordination.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and monthly performance tracking.
• Conduct variance analysis comparing actual performance against budgets and prior periods.

2. Accounts Payables Management

• Maintain accurate vendor records.
• Process and reconcile local and international vendor transactions.
• Prepare structured monthly payment plans aligned with credit terms.
• Ensure timely declaration and payment of taxes including VAT and WHT.
• Review tax ledgers to identify and mitigate potential risks.

3. Business Support and Operational Finance

• Monitor engagement metrics and identify financial anomalies.
• Support engagement managers with collections, aged inventory clearance, and time or expense transfers.
• Act as liaison between finance and client-serving teams.
• Coordinate procurement processes in compliance with global standards.
• Ensure accurate posting of client-related expenses.
• Provide insights to enhance operational efficiency and working capital management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related finance discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar finance role.
• Experience in a fast-paced finance environment is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel.
• Good understanding of EFRIS and financial systems.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
