- Freelance Field Recovery Services: Partner with SACCOs, microfinance institutions, and SMEs to recover overdue payments on commission.

Job Purpose
The Field Collection Agent will conduct physical visits to customers’ homes or business premises to recover overdue payments, retrieve company assets where necessary, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical debt collection standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Field Visits and Recovery
- Conduct in-person visits to customers with overdue payments.
- Recover outstanding installments and minimize company losses.
- Verify customer information during field interactions.
2. Negotiation and Customer Engagement
- Engage customers to understand repayment challenges.
- Educate customers about penalties and repayment obligations.
- Negotiate structured payment plans within company guidelines.
3. Asset and Device Recovery
- Retrieve financed devices or collateral from defaulting customers.
- Follow approved company procedures during asset recovery.
4. Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of field visits and customer discussions.
- Update repayment status in company systems.
- Submit daily activity and recovery reports to management.
5. Stakeholder and Authority Engagement
- Build working relationships with local authorities where necessary.
- Coordinate with police in cases involving fraud or prolonged default.
6. Compliance
- Ensure all collection activities comply with Ugandan laws and company policies.
- Maintain professionalism to protect the organization’s reputation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in loan collection, field recovery, or financial services.
- Prior experience in debt recovery is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel within assigned regions, including Eastern Uganda.
- Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle difficult customers professionally.
- Familiarity with local geography and community structures.
- Proficiency in local languages and basic English.
- Must be a Ugandan citizen.
