Main Purpose of the Job

The Direct Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, acquiring clients, and executing sales activities. The role also involves cross-selling the bank’s products and services, onboarding new customers, and ensuring excellent service delivery in collaboration with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and convert new sales opportunities and leads into bank customers.
  • Formulate and implement daily sales action plans and targets.
  • Maintain a strong physical presence in the local market through activations and outreach.
  • Collaborate with branch staff and managers to identify and execute new scheme opportunities.
  • Conduct product presentations during bank-organized events and community engagements.
  • Deliver on set targets related to assets, liabilities, and digital channels.
  • Provide accurate and timely daily reports to the Branch Manager.
  • Support customers by resolving inquiries, concerns, and complaints effectively and professionally.
  • Comply with all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Build strong working relationships with staff across departments to drive team success.
  • Attend all mandatory trainings organized by the bank.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • Additional qualifications in Marketing or Sales will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in the banking sector is a plus.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong selling, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to identify and recommend business opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and customer-focused.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Good understanding of banking products, services, and operations in Uganda.
  • Fluency in English and Luganda (other local languages are an added advantage).
