Job Summary
BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd is recruiting Customer Relationship Officers – Intern to support client engagement and relationship management across multiple regions in Uganda. In this role, you will advise and sensitize prospective and existing clients on the bank’s loan products, while also cross-selling other financial products and services. You will guide clients through loan application processes, support basic financial literacy training, and participate in field-based loan appraisal activities. This is a practical opportunity for fresh graduates who want to build strong foundations in customer service, sales, field operations, and responsible lending practices.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Advise and sensitize prospective and existing clients on BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd loan products and cross-sell other financial products and services.
- Train clients in financial literacy and other relevant client education sessions to improve understanding of borrowing, saving, and responsible repayment.
- Guide clients to correctly fill in loan application forms and attach all required documents in line with the bank’s loan requirements.
- Conduct loan appraisals by undertaking field visits to loan applicants’ homes, agribusinesses, and the locations of property or securities to be pledged as collateral where required.
- Support daily loan disbursement activities for approved loans in line with set performance targets and operational procedures.
- Appraise loan applicants’ character and repayment willingness, review credit histories where applicable, and conduct reference checks.
- Monitor outstanding loans and track daily performance of the loan portfolio, escalating risks and follow-up actions through the reporting line.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Strictly fresh graduates from university.
- Applicant should not be above 30 years of age.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in client engagement and presentations.
- Ability to convince and build trust with clients through clear explanations and professional conduct.
- Computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office (MS Word and Excel).
- Integrity and ethical conduct, especially when handling client information and field processes.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver results with minimum supervision.
- Willingness to work in the field, interact with diverse communities, and follow schedules across assigned areas.
