Q-Sourcing Limited, a leading manpower management solutions provider in East Africa, is hiring a Corporate Planner for one of its key clients in the oil and gas sector. Based in Kampala, this role requires a dynamic and experienced professional who can consolidate project, operations, and corporate inputs into a unified planning framework.

Key Role Purpose
The Corporate Planner will play a pivotal role in the development, coordination, and integration of planning processes across the organization. This includes:

Consolidating inputs from Projects, Operations, and Corporate functions.

Supporting non-technical departments without dedicated planning roles (e.g., land & social, sustainability).

Assisting in the setup of operations planning structures.
-
Developing dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate must ensure that all activities align with the company’s overall strategy and comply with corporate and industry standards, especially in H3SE, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Corporate Planner will be responsible for the following key activities:
1. Planning and Scheduling:

Consolidate yearly and 5-year planning inputs from Projects, Operations, and Corporate teams.

Assist corporate departments (land, social, environment) in building and maintaining their planning systems.

Ensure alignment of inputs with overall corporate and stakeholder goals.

Review and validate project schedules from contractors, ensuring compliance with company and stakeholder expectations.
2. Dashboard & Reporting Development:

Develop and maintain dashboards in Power BI for stakeholder reporting and performance tracking.

Provide real-time insights into project and corporate planning progress.
-
Create KPIs and custom reports to support decision-making and management oversight.
3. Stakeholder Coordination & Meetings:
-
Liaise with EACOP Project Control and Operations/Commissioning Teams.

Participate in regular coordination meetings (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) with corporate, project, and contractor teams.

Attend field visits to understand ground-level challenges and ensure planning accuracy.
4. Operations & Process Support:
-
Assist in setting up the operations planning structure.
-
Interface with diverse departments, especially those without dedicated planners.

Contribute to process improvement, data consolidation, and schedule simulations.
5. Governance & Compliance:
-
Adhere to company ethics and H3SE policies.

Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and planning excellence.

Gather lessons learned to improve planning frameworks and organizational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Academic Background:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
-
Professional certifications in project planning or Primavera (optional but advantageous).
Experience:
-
7+ years of experience in planning within industrial businesses, preferably in oil & gas, infrastructure, or energy projects.

Minimum 3 years in a similar or directly related corporate planning position.

Primavera P6 expertise is mandatory.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Power BI.

Experience with land acquisition, environmental, or social performance projects is an added advantage.
Key Competencies & Skills:

Excellent understanding of project control methodologies, scheduling principles, and multi-disciplinary planning.

Ability to manage multiple interfaces and workstreams simultaneously.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Fluent in English – both spoken and written.

Adaptability to high-pressure environments and tight deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural, cross-functional teams.
