World Vision is seeking a detail-oriented, skilled Copy Editor/Writer to join our global communications team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated editor with a sharp eye for clarity, consistency, and grammatical accuracy—particularly within the non-profit, international development, or humanitarian sectors.
Working remotely, you will collaborate with writers, designers, digital teams, and staff across the globe to elevate the quality of internal and external communications.
Key Responsibilities
Editing & Quality Control

Edit and proofread diverse content, including:
-
Research reports, annual reports, press releases, infographics
-
Donor communications, digital copy, newsletters, op-eds
-
Social media and internal documentation
-

Ensure alignment with organizational tone, messaging, grammar, and style.
Writing & Content Creation
-
Craft clear, compelling, and persuasive content that delivers key messages and drives behaviour or attitude change.
Content Support & Workflow
-
Establish and maintain smooth copy-editing workflows in collaboration with key teams.

Ensure deadlines are met and editorial processes are efficient and supportive.
Training & Capacity Building
-
Provide basic training and mentorship to staff on how to improve their writing and editing.

Support global communications engagement initiatives to foster collaboration and trust.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
-
3–5 years of professional editing experience, ideally in a nonprofit, NGO, or international development context.

Proven expertise in:
-
Grammar, syntax, and editorial style
-
Simplifying complex or technical content
-
Working with culturally diverse, global teams
-

Strong project management and multitasking skills.
-
Ability to work independently in a fully remote, digital-first environment.

Fluency in written and spoken English.
✅ Preferred Qualifications
-
Certification in editing and/or proofreading.
-
Experience delivering writing or editing training or workshops to colleagues.

Minimal travel: No more than 5% annually
