Job Summary
Amani Sasa is hiring a passionate and detail-oriented Communications and Admin Assistant to support its daily operations through effective communication and administrative management. This role includes content creation, executive support, and coordination of visiting teams to ensure a smooth integration with Amani Sasa’s impactful programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Communications Support
- Draft and edit content for newsletters, social media, and official statements.
- Maintain content calendars and campaign timelines.
- Prepare scripts, reports, and talking points for presentations or events.
2. Administrative Support to CEO and COO
- Manage calendars, appointments, and meeting logistics.
- Draft, send, and respond to emails professionally.
- Make calls, follow up on tasks, and handle basic transactions or reservations.
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
3. Logistics Coordination for Visiting Teams
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, and hospitality for guest teams.
- Schedule visits in alignment with program timelines.
- Assist with airport pickups, refreshments, and local support needs.
- Troubleshoot issues to ensure positive experiences for visitors.
4. Organizational Learning
- Attend internal training and staff development sessions.
- Apply learnings to improve communication and admin processes.
5. Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the CEO, COO, or Directors.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Communication: Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Organization: Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
- Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and digital communication tools.
- Interpersonal: Professional, friendly, and respectful in diverse settings.
- Confidentiality: Trustworthy with sensitive information.
- Problem-solving: Flexible and solution-oriented in handling challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Previous experience in media relations within a multicultural NGO is an added advantage.
