Key Responsibilities: What You’ll Do
As a Cashier at Kitovu Mobile, your core responsibilities will revolve around managing cash inflows and outflows, maintaining financial records, and ensuring proper documentation and accountability. Below are the detailed duties and responsibilities:

Record all daily patient fees accurately and issue official receipts for all funds received.

Ensure intact banking of all received funds into the facility’s bank accounts on a daily basis.

Reconcile the summary voucher with cash received at the beginning of each day or shift.

Assist in the preparation of cash and cheque payment vouchers for various operational expenses.
-
Prepare daily cash summary reports, ensuring that all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

Generate cash requests as needed and ensure all disbursed funds are fully accounted for.

Oversee bookkeeping tasks, payments, and documentation of financial records for the facility.

Reconcile daily receipts with the Excel template, daily collection book, and cash analysis sheets.
-
Maintain the Petty Cash Register and Cheque Register books, ensuring real-time balance matching.
-
Promptly bank all balance amounts from cheques into their respective accounts.
-
Ensure safe custody of funds and related financial documentation.
-
Submit all cash vouchers to the Accounts Assistant on time for organized filing.
-
Verify that daily cash control sheets and the petty cash book are in agreement.

Assist in the formulation of financial workplans for the facility.

Prepare monthly reconciliation statements for petty cash and bank accounts, and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Participate in quarterly stock-taking of all assets in conjunction with the organization’s Stores Manager.

Carry out any other finance-related duties as assigned by management.
✅ Required Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this exciting Cashier job in Masaka, you must meet the following criteria:

Minimum academic qualification: Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.

Work experience: At least two years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a healthcare or NGO environment.

Skills and Competencies:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software.

Trustworthy, reliable, and well-organized.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.

Strong ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.

Flexible and adaptable to dynamic work environments.
