Job Summary

Nama Wellness Community Centre (NAWEC) is seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Cashier to manage cash and payment operations at the Centre. The Cashier will ensure accurate processing of payments, maintain financial records, and support smooth financial operations in a busy health facility environment.

This role is crucial to maintaining financial integrity, accountability, and client trust across all transactions at NAWEC.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive cash, mobile money, and other payments from clients for services rendered.

  • Issue official receipts for all transactions accurately.

  • Reconcile daily collections with service records and submit reports to the Accountant.

  • Maintain updated and secure records of all transactions and balances.

  • Support preparation of periodic financial reports and summaries.

  • Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of all payment documentation.

  • Alert management of any discrepancies or irregularities in payment records.

  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth service delivery.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a busy health facility, NGO, or small enterprise.

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial record-keeping.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and confidentiality.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
