Job Description

As a Carpenter (Zimmerer), you will work on a variety of construction and building projects that require advanced craftsmanship and technical skills. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and expanding attics, roofs, and external facades
  • Improving thermal insulation systems for buildings
  • Participating in roofing and timber frame construction activities
  • Installing solar and photovoltaic energy systems
  • Reading and interpreting complex architectural and construction plans
  • Working with advanced construction technology and CNC-controlled joinery machines
  • Creating technical construction drawings and performing work preparation tasks

This position offers structured, dual training: practical work on active construction sites combined with certified vocational training. You will gain recognized qualifications that meet European Union standards.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

  • Ugandan citizenship with a valid National ID (passport required for visa processing)
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Technical or vocational training in carpentry, woodworking, or construction
  • Completed O-Level or A-Level education
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and visualize spatial plans
  • Knowledge of CNC machines and construction technology is an added advantage
  • Physically healthy and able to pass a comprehensive medical examination
  • No criminal record (mandatory for work visa application)
  • Willingness to commit to German language training (up to B1 level)
  • Strong work ethic, team player, and high level of motivation
