Call for Applications: One Health Community Partnerships Project (OHCP) – Graduate Student Support
The One Health Community Partnerships (OHCP) Project invites applications from eligible Master’s-level graduate students for research support under its One Health-focused community engagement initiative.
The OHCP Project aims to improve community health outcomes and promote equitable One Health empowerment among poor and marginalized rural smallholder farming communities, particularly women, girls, and female-headed households. The project focuses on communities affected by zoonotic diseases and human–animal–environment interface-related health challenges in Ghana, Uganda, and Ethiopia.

Purpose of the Graduate Student Support
This initiative is designed to support graduate students conducting research within the scope of One Health (OH). Particular emphasis is placed on supporting vulnerable female graduate students who face financial barriers that limit their ability to complete field-based research.
The support specifically addresses challenges such as lack of funding for transportation to rural communities for data collection and limited access to essential research supplies.

Successful applicants may receive support in the following areas:
- Transportation costs for field-based data collection
- Community entry and engagement facilitation
- Participation in OHCP project activities alongside Canadian volunteers
- Limited research supplies such as gloves, tubes, vials, and similar consumables
Project Timeline
- Application Deadline: 31st January 2026
- Fund Disbursement Deadline: Data collection activities must be completed by 15th March 2028
