Job Summary:
Unifi Uganda is seeking enthusiastic and customer-centric Call Centre Agents to join our growing Customer Service Call Centre Team in Kampala. This role is ideal for individuals with excellent communication skills, a passion for problem-solving, and a desire to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Call Centre Agent, you will be the voice of Unifi, interacting with customers across various channels and ensuring their needs are met efficiently and professionally.
Customer Engagement:

Answer incoming calls from existing and potential clients in a courteous and professional manner.

Respond to customer queries, requests, and concerns in a timely and accurate manner.

Offer product and service information, helping clients understand Unifi’s loan products and services.

Assist customers with loan repayment schedules, account information, and general inquiries.
Problem Solving & Complaint Handling:

Effectively manage and resolve customer complaints by investigating the issue and proposing appropriate solutions.

Research and escalate unresolved issues to the relevant departments or supervisors.

Track and resolve client issues using available systems and resources to ensure customer satisfaction.
Sales & Marketing Support:
-
Market and promote Unifi Credit products to clients during interactions.

Proactively encourage timely repayments of loans and manage client arrears through follow-up communication.

Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services to drive cross-selling and customer retention.
Administrative Duties:

Accurately document call details, queries, and resolutions according to Unifi’s standard operating procedures.

Log call activities, maintain call logs and submit accurate reports regularly.

Route calls and inquiries to the appropriate departments for further handling.

Process customer applications, such as employment verifications, data checks, and new employer information.
Team Collaboration & Brand Representation:

Recognize and report client call trends and issues to the management team for improvement initiatives.

Actively participate in brand awareness campaigns, marketing events, and outreach activities.

Promote Unifi’s values and maintain thriving relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Help make Unifi a fun, engaging, and collaborative workplace by contributing to team spirit and shared goals.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Minimum Academic Requirements:

A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Customer Service, or a related field.
Experience:
-
At least 1 year of experience in a call centre, customer care, or sales support role is highly preferred.
-
Previous experience in the finance, telecommunications, or microfinance sector is an added advantage.
Core Competencies:
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (other local languages are a plus).
-
Excellent listening, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, especially during high call volumes.

Knowledge of call centre systems, CRM tools, or help desk software is an added advantage.

Customer-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and high level of empathy.
